The Motor Trades Association (NT) Incorporated is the peak representative body for the Motor Trade Industry in the Northern Territory.
MTA (NT) is comprised of nine divisions representing a diversity of members throughout the Northern Territory. These divisions are:
v Licensed Motor Vehicle Division
v Independent Repairers Division
v Body Repairers Division
v Parts Recyclers Division
v Towing Division
v Tyre Dealers Division
v Motorcycle Dealers Division
v Associates
v Allied Business Division : representing (but not limited to)
The Association is governed by a Board of Management appointed under the provisions of the Constitution.
Our aim is to:
· Protect and conserve the interests of members
· Deal with all questions involving retail motor trades
· Promote, support or oppose legislative or other measures affecting retail motor trades
· Deal with restrictions affecting retail motor trades
· Prosecute or defend any suits, applications and proceedings before any Court or Tribunal in the interests of members
· Mediate or arbitrate disputes arising with the retail motor trades industry
· Work towards achieving professional standards within retail motor trades and maintain a high standing in the community
· Promote the good name of MTA (NT)
• Do all things conducive to the extension of the interests of those engaged in the retail motor trades industry
